How to reach the Meeting Venue
From Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport
by train: from railway station, inside Fiumicino Airport, trains depart for Termini station every 30
minutes. From Termini station to the Meeting Venue see below.
by taxi: fixed charge for rides between Leonardo da Vinci Airport and Termini railway station: Euro
40,00, including baggage, for a maximum of four passengers (authorized taxi-cabs are white).
From Ciampino Airport
by bus: at Ciampino Airport there are different bus companies, that will bring you to the Termini
station in about 45 minutes. From Termini station to the Meeting Venue site see below.

From Termini railway station
by bus: departure from Piazza dei Cinquecento,1, just outside Termini station. Take bus number 40
to 2 stops and get off at stop Nazionale/Quirinale. Walk 100 meters on your left to Largo Angelicum, 1.
by walking: 1,5 Km from the Meeting Venue, about 15 minutes walking along Via Nazionale (full of
shops) to Largo Angelicum, 1.
by car: follow the indication for Stazione Termini. As soon you are at the Termini railway station, park
the car and follows the indication above (access to Largo Angelicum by car is denied in day hours).
by subway: take subway line A, stop at Piazza della Repubblica; at this point you can either walk down
Via Nazionale (full of shops) till Largo Angelicum 1 (about 10/15 minutes) or take the bus number 64
and get off after 4 stops at the stop Nazionale/Quirinale or take number 40 to 2 stops and get off at
stop Nazionale/Quirinale. Walk 100 meters on your left to Largo Angelicum, 1.
Another possibility is to take subway line B, get off at Colosseo, and reach the Meeting Venue by
walking (about 8 minutes): facing the Colosseum turn right to start walking on Via dei Fori Imperiali
towards Piazza Venezia, at the first street light, cross the street and turn right, after few meters turn
left on via di Tor dei Conti (a nice walk on a narrow street of Rome with archaeological ruins) straight
ahead for 400 meters continuing on Salita del Grillo till largo Angelicum, 1.

How to get around Rome
Rome is a city rich in monuments, artistic places and other beauties. Most of these are located in the
historical centre.
The best way to visit Rome is on foot: churches, squares and monuments are easily reachable.
There are 3000 restaurants, including pizzerias, taverns, exotic places, picture-galleries, ice-cream
shops. Rome is the capital of the religious art and in the historical centre there are more than 400
churches rich in paintings and frescoes. As regards to the culture, there are 50 museums and picture-galleries,
200 contemporary art galleries, 42 public and private libraries, 80 theatres or theatrical
clubs and more than 140 cinemas.
Public transportation
The cost of the surface and underground transportation is the same (1 Euro, valid for 75 minutes, 1
metro/train trip only).
Tickets of different time limit and itinerary are available at ATAC counters, news-stands, tobacconists
and automatic ticket dispensers, but not in buses. All tickets must be validated at the beginning of the
first trip either at underground station or on buses.
Please note that tickets must be bought before boarding on the bus.
Taxi
Licensed taxis are white, have a name, an identification number, and are equipped with a taximeter.
Do not trust people who approach you offering private taxi service. In the city centre there are a number
of taxi-ranks, like for example in Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Venezia and Largo Argentina. A taxi
can be called at the following telephone numbers: +39 063570, +39 064994, +39 065551.
Please remember that in this case the taxi-meter is turned on when the taxi picks up the call.
Because of the frequent changes made to the rates, you should read carefully the information shown
inside the taxi.
Subway
The 2 line system has an X shape, with both lines meeting at the Central Railway Station Termini.
The first line, line B south, goes from Laurentina to Rebibbia.
Line A links Anagnina, in the south, with Battistini, in the northwest.
The metro operates from 5.30 until 23.30 (1.30 on Fridays and Saturdays) every 3-4 minutes during
rush hours, every 5-6 minutes during the day and every 8-10 minutes early morning and late evening.
Currency
According to the Monetary Union, the official currency is the Euro.
Bank and exchange
Banks are open from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 13.30 and some of them again in the afternoon
from 14.45 to 15.45 (afternoon opening may vary depending on the bank).
Banks are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Many banks have automatic currency exchange machines
that also take credit cards. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept foreign currency
and major credit cards.
Weather
October weather in Rome is generally warm. Rain is also possible.
The temperature doesn’t rise over 15°C / 59°F.
Electricity
Voltage in Italy is mostly 220 volts - 50 Hz.
Foreign appliances could require an adapter.
